Candy Scholarship

 

What’s this? The American Association of Candy Technologists (AACT) sponsors the John Kitt Memorial Scholarship for students who have demonstrated an interest in confectionary technology

How much? $5,000

Who can enter? Sophomores, juniors, or seniors

Lefty Scholarship

 

What’s this? Need-based scholarship at Juniata College (Penn.) for left-handed students with a good GPA that was first given by Fred and Mary Beckley, who were paired up on the tennis team as freshmen at the college in 1919 because they were both left-handed. They were later married in 1924.

How much? $800 - $1,500

Who can enter? Sophomores, juniors, or seniors who attend Juniata

When’s it due? Application is part of the college’s financial aid form

Common Knowledge Scholarship

 

What’s this? Competitions consist of one or more quizzes ranging from “common knowledge” to specific academic subjects, books, websites, and movies

How much? $250 - $2,500 with a maximum amount of $5,000 any one person can win

Who can enter? High school students, college students, graduate students, and parents

When’s it due? Current and upcoming quizzes appear in your account once you register

Music Student Scholarship

 

What’s this? Write 250 words or less finishing this essay “Dear School Board Member – why we need music education in our schools…”

How much? Five $1,000 scholarships

What’s this? The Mycological Society of America offers several graduate fellowships for students who are studying mycology (spores, mold and fungus)

Who can enter? Graduate and undergraduate students who are members of the Mycological Society of America
